The (Somewhat) Complete Kasdorf Family Genealogy - Main Page
Germany
A few selected locations showing proximity of several family lines points of origin.

2011-03 I just realized that when I changed from the old Ultimate Family Tree web pages to this one created by TMG and Second Site, the email no longer appears as it did before.

So.. if you would like to contact me with questions, or especially information that you may have to contribute, please write me at --- genealogy "at" kasdorf.net --- ... you know, replace the "at" with @ and no spaces. Maybe that will help to keep the spam bots from getting me... a little anyway.

The Kasdorf Family World Genealogy has been prepared over the course of years, thousands of hours of research and countless hours of viewing scratched microfilm were involved. Through the willingness of others to share their family information by responding to mailings from an unknown person, except he shared the Kasdorf name.

With gratitude I wish to acknowledge the contributions of Doug Holt, who sent the original inquiry about my family history, and published the Kasdorf Kin for years. Also George Munsch who provided a complete genealogy of my mothers family. Ines Kasdorf of Demmin Germany who responded to a blind mailing to Kasdorf families in Germany, then spent many hours visiting the churches around Demmin and Glendlin über Demmin finding records unavailable to researchers in the USA.

Other lines such as the South America Kasdorf Line was provided by Pedro Kasdorf and Pedro Fuld, and I am sure they had help from others in their extensive family line. Like some of the other lines this one has been traced back to the town of Bandelin, which is very near to "My" family in Glendelin and Demmin.

Many other persons have contributed to share names and resource material to put this history together, and I thank them. Likewise I am always pursuing new information to continue to complete the genealogy, both ancestors and newer members of the family. If, in reading this, you see there is additional information you could contribute, please contact me. Information on weddings, births, deaths and especially pictures or other documentation for these events would be appreciated contributions, and will aid in continuing the genealogy for generations yet to come.

I am always excited to hear from you with any information that I may not have, pictures of your family, or any other information related to the Kasdorf's and collateral lines.

If you had visited the early Kasdorf's of the World page you may notice this one is not quite so visual. Due to limited space allowed for a web page, I had to make a choice: more information, or fancier. I figured you are looking at this page for information, so that is what I went with.

You may also have found the really old Compuserve web page. That page is very outdated but the search engines seem to always list it near the top. It seems that Compuserve keeps the pages around forever, but I can no longer edit it. The information is good, but not as complete as what you can find here. In early 2005 I was (I think) successful in getting the Compuserve home page changed. The data is still there, but at least it helps somewhat.

Hopefully you have reached this via the www.kasdorf.net address. You may have also come from the web page on http://home.comcast.net/~kasdorf /index.htm. In the future always use "www.kasdorf.net". I just registered the www.kasdorf.net ,www.kasdorf.name, www.kasdorf.org and www.kasdorf.us, and as of late 2006 the Kasdorf Network includes www.kasdorf.info! URL's and these can always be redirected to the most current web site, wherever it may be! Plus it is a lot easier to remember. Since you are probably a web surfer you may already realize that kasdorf.com is registered to a law firm in Milwaukee, while kasdorf.com.sa is being used by "Kasdorf" a company in Argentina who produces milk. I think I have all the URL's I am interested in now, to try and get "kasdorf.XX" such as kasdorf.ca, or kasdorf.bz is just to difficult. Some require that a person with citizenship must apply for them. Enjoy and send in that information you have been meaning to..!!!
