(For information on next years race, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northvilleroadrunners.org\/\" title=\"Northville Road Runners Web Site.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.northvilleroadrunners.org\/nrr\/index.html<\/a> )<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/NorthvilleRR_2008_07\/NortvilleRRclassic8K2.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox\" title=\"The Northville Road Runner 8K.\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/NorthvilleRR_2008_07\/NortvilleRRclassic8K2.jpg\" alt=\"The Northville Road Runner 8K\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The race was a combination of trail and pavement, maybe 3 miles asphalt and 2 miles trail with an official total of 4.8 miles. (thats what 8K is, right.)<\/p>\n<p>While the hills were nothing like the Road Ends trail race, they were still long and steep enough to get the thighs burning. More hill work on the training schedule!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/NorthvilleRR_2008_07\/NorthvilleRRclassicResults1.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox\" title=\"Results of the Northville Road Runner #49.\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/NorthvilleRR_2008_07\/Northville%20Classic%208k%202008%20021%203px.jpg\" alt=\"The Northville Road Runner 8K - #49\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>By the numbers:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> a) 8K, or 4.8 miles.<\/p>\n<p>b) ran at a 10:03 per mile pace, 49:43 total time (0:45:00 total time pre-race guess)<\/p>\n<p>c) finished 126 out of 165 overall, so finished in the top 76% of all runners. . .<\/p>\n<p>d) finished 5 out of 5 in my age group. It&#8217;s tough when the #3 overall finisher is in your age group!
