This is the short version of the Trail Marathon and half marathon held the following day at the same location.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"The Trail Marathon and Road Ends 5 Mile race flyer.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/GSlideshows\/Road Ends 09\/Road Ends 5M 09 0003 x8.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/GSlideshows\/Road Ends 09\/Road Ends 5M 09 0014 x3.jpg\" alt=\"The Team Toe-Jammer Bib #145.\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"The finish line before and after a 5 mile run!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/GSlideshows\/Road Ends 09\/Road Ends 5M 09 0157.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/GSlideshows\/Road Ends 09\/Road Ends 5M 09 0097.jpg\" alt=\"The start line before and after!\" width=\"300\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>Some stats for the race:<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>a) 5 Miles, not a 5K<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>b) finished 325 out of 467<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>c) finished eight out of eleven in my age group.<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>d) finished 194 out of 238 men.<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>e) had a 11:16 pace (56:21) compared to (55:44 last year)<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>g) had a great time &#8211; which is always the goal right?&#8230; Right! &#8230;.er, of course it is.<\/ul>\n<p>The course is at the State Park in Pinckney Michigan. The area is relatively hilly, and the course takes great advantage of that.
