The second race in the series is the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/Flirt w Dirt 09\/index.html\"><strong> &#8220;Flirt with Dirt&#8221; held in Novi Michigan&#8217;s Lake Shore Park. <\/strong><\/a> This is a nice 10K run though the woods, with some hills, but no killers like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/wordpress\/2009\/road-ends-5-mile-2009-running\/\">Roads End <\/a>held earlier this year!<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"lightbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/Flirt w Dirt 09\/Flirt w Dirt 2009 095 x8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/Flirt w Dirt 09\/Flirt w Dirt 2009 002x3.jpg\" alt=\"The 2009 Flirt with Dirt 10K Trail Race\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/Flirt w Dirt 09\/index.html\">&#8220;A few photos from the race.&#8221;<\/a> The Chief Photographer got a few long range photos as I made the first loop around<\/p>\n<p>the area then got in place for the struggle up the hill to the finish line!<\/p>\n<p><a title=\".\" rel=\"lightbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/Flirt w Dirt 09\/Flirt w Dirt 2009 190 x8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/Flirt w Dirt 09\/Flirt w Dirt 2009 010 x3.jpg\" alt=\"The full results.\" width=\"300\" height=\"246\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"The official final stats.\" rel=\"lightbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/Flirt w Dirt 09\/Flirt w Dirt 2009 Results 01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/Flirt w Dirt 09\/Flirt w Dirt 2009 Results 01 x3.jpg\" alt=\"The official final stats.\" width=\"300\" height=\"91\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>Some stats for the race:<br \/>\na) 6.1 Miles<br \/>\nb) finished 200 out of 600 overall<br \/>\nc) finished 6 out of 8 in my age group.<br \/>\nd) finished xx out of 130 men.<br \/>\ne) had a 9:44 pace, 1:00:31 total. (Not a pr for this distance&#8230; but the hills, the hills&#8230;)<br \/>\nf) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kasdorf.name\/Running\/RunIndex.html\">You can see the full details on the running stats web page.<\/a><br \/>\nh) had a great time &#8211; which is always the goal right?&#8230; Right!<\/ul>\n<p>The course starts with a nice downhill for 50 yards, loops the soccer field, through the parking lot and then into the woods. In the woods a lot of the trail is definately single track<\/p>\n<p>where passing is very difficult. People get impatient with slower people, but finally get around to pass&#8230; <a href='https:\/\/www.curiousinsight.com\/96363463\/'>????? ???? ????<\/a>  me I&#8217;m normally happy coasting along until there is enough trail width for me<\/p>\n<p>to sort of slowly creep by the slower person.
